Team Vesco Turbinator represents Save the Salt and Utah Alliance at AAPG ACE 2018. Save the Salt Board member Larry Volk, Utah Alliance Chairman Dennis Sullivan and volunteer Ron Christensen joined car owner Rick Vesco on the show floor speaking to attendees about the sport as well as the dire salt loss situation on the flat.
Land Speed Racing and Save the Salt were the feature exhibit at the Detroit Autorama in early March followed by a LandSpeed Louise representing the sport at Bosotn's Larz Anderson Auto Museum for its Women's Motormouth series profiling women in motorsports and beyond.

Three separate organizations representing racers and industry are in discussions with Intrepid Potash-Wendover, Inc., a potash mine operator, on ways to increase the amount of salt brine being pumped onto the Bonneville Salt Flats.
