We’ll forgive writer Jason Gay and his Wall St. Journal editors for the “fake” headline because the don’t know what they don’t know. While bicyclist Denise Mueller is to be heartily congratulated for her stellar high-speed salt ride, she is more than 100MPH of the pace from being able to claim the “world’s fastest” title for two wheels. There are two dozen or more women who have set certified national and world land speed records well beyond 150 and many in excess of 200 MPH.
